Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Training provides staff with practical knowledge and skills to prevent, recognise, respond to, and de-escalate crisis situations in a safe, therapeutic and trauma-informed manner. The training focuses on understanding behaviour, identifying early warning signs, using supportive communication, promoting emotional regulation, maintaining safety, and responding appropriately during and after a crisis. It also supports staff to reflect on incidents, reduce future risk, and ensure responses are respectful, person-centred and consistent with safeguarding principles.
